Goodwill is kind of funny sometimes. The people that price most of the items are just the guys working the donation door in the back.
Don’t ask me how I know this... it involves some restitution. haha

I got all my stereo equipment from charity shops, I built a great system for like £25.

Late-90s/early-00s? They look pretty clean for $12. Nice find! They probably sound a million times better than my $2.12 speakers http://oppositelock.kinja.com/speakerlopnik-…

Those look like the speakers I had in my bedroom in high school, along with the attached 3-disc changer, dual tape deck, and fake receiver (it was all one molded plastic unit made to look like components. Because 90s.)

I would have bought the beanbag chair to go with it. :)

Stereo speakers become a monolith of sound.
I’d be happy if my local goodwill was more reasonable. I’m always looking to swap the rears to my surround.
